What is kbp2video?

kbp2video is a tool to create videos or subtitle files from Karaoke Builder Studio projects. It works differently from most other converters supporting the .kbp format in that it tries to faithfully reproduce not only the lyric timings, but the formatting and layout as much as possible. Note that it does not 100% support everything in the format, see Limitations.

kbp2video provides an intuitive drag and drop interface as well as many options for formatting the output, including adding intro/outros, and background images/videos.

It’s written in Python with Qt6, so it supports most platforms, including Windows, Mac, and Linux. An installer is only currently provided for Windows, as that is only platform KBS itself supports.
